If I’m ever in a bizarre situation, where I can only have one book of the Bible with me, I’d pick Romans. It’s my favorite book!

I am currently running an initiative to raise money for a person I care so deeply about, who has an incredible story. Please look on my social media for the story, or reach out to me if you would like to know the details, and give, as I cannot put it on my blog because it’s a surprise, and I can’t control who sees my posts!

This initiative has taken up all my thinking time this week. I have experienced generosity that moved me to tears. I also experienced the opposite end of generosity. I’ve received so much encouragement and blessings from doing this. But I’ve also received some critic. Overall, I have enjoyed doing this, and it has shifted my perspective on various things! Since I’m in a place of meditation, i will carry you along on that journey.

Here is Romans 12: 9 – 21, one of my favorites:

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.

Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.

On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Thank you all for staying with me on this journey. I am enjoying every bit of it! Please leave a comment on a time you needed help, and you wish people could see beneath your smile, or a time you were able to help someone in need! See you next Thursday @12noon EST!

Show someone love today!

xoxo
